This policy explains what information Feng Shui Mood collects when you visit the site, why, and what choices you have. Feng Shui Mood is a small independent publication. If you have any questions, email contact@fengshuimood.com or use the contact page.

Information we collect
When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and your message. We use these only to reply and keep a record of the conversation. The form is provided by WPForms, and the site sends email through WP Mail SMTP.
When you comment
If comments are open on a post and you leave one, we store the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and browser user-agent. Comments are checked by Akismet, a spam-filtering service by Automattic, which receives the comment data to decide whether it is spam. Your email address is never published.
Analytics
We use Independent Analytics, which runs on our own WordPress installation and records page views, referring sites and general device and location information so we can see which guides are useful. It doesn’t use cookies to track you across other sites, and the data isn’t shared with an analytics company.
Server and cache logs
Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, pages requested and time) for security and performance. Pages are cached by LiteSpeed Cache to make the site faster.
Cookies
A cookie notice lets you accept cookies. Cookies that may be set include:
- a cookie remembering your choice on the cookie notice;
- comment cookies, if you leave a comment and choose to have your details remembered;
- cookies set by third-party services described below, such as affiliate partners and embedded videos.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, although some embedded content may not load.
Affiliate links
Feng Shui Mood is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. When you click an Amazon link, Amazon may set cookies to record that you came from this site. We don’t receive your personal details from Amazon. Some pages may also include travel and accommodation links provided by Stay22, which works in a similar way. See our affiliate disclosure.
Embedded content and third-party services
- YouTube. Some articles embed videos. Embedded videos behave as if you visited YouTube and may set cookies and collect data under Google’s privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address.
- Social sharing buttons. Share buttons on articles link to social networks. Nothing is sent to a network unless you click a button.
- Newsletter. If we add a newsletter sign-up, it will be provided by Grow, and your email address will be used only to send the newsletter. You’ll be able to unsubscribe at any time from any email.
How long we keep information
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Approved comments and their details are kept indefinitely so they can stay on the post; spam is deleted. Analytics data is kept in aggregate to understand trends over time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it’s used. Email contact@fengshuimood.com and we’ll respond within a month. If you’re in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is intended for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
